Employees/Board

We employ part time staff consisting of an executive director, a volunteer coordinator, an administrative assistant, and program coordinators who plan activities designed to meet the needs of the community they live and work in, striving to meet our mission of strengthening and supporting families and communities. Thea Board of Directors meets the second Thursday of the month at our Southern Door facility.

 Financial Supporters

We currently receive no federal, state, or county funding. The majority of our monetary support comes from individuals, businesses, and fund raising events.  Private foundation grants provide the financial resources needed to be able to offer our free or low cost programs. Major grantors that support our efforts  include the United Way of Door County, the Door County Community Foundation,  the Helen Bader Foundation and the Raibrook Foundation.  If everyone gives a little, we can do alot!  Donate Now

A partnership with businesses, non-profit organizations, civic groups, schools, faith based entities and service clubs enable us to serve approximately 1500 households each year.  Numerous entities contribute to our success. Our main office is located 1 mile north of Brussels. We provide outreach activities in numerous communities along the 90 mile long peninsula. Other non-profit organizations, community associations and businesses work collaboratively with us to allow use of facilities to hold our programs, assist with event promotion and help conduct activities and social functions.
